Andy Wolf Updates ‘AWearness’ Series

Andy Wolf has made a new addition to the AWearness family, AW06, made from bioacetate, available in two colorways with a panto form. The new AW06 style features three-dimensional and ergonomic facets, and each component has been meticulously crafted to ensure a timeless quality. The AW06 model includes a clip-on accessory that features high-quality Zeiss sun lenses capable of providing full protection against UVA and UVB rays. These clip-ons are handcrafted at their facility located in France. Additionally, the clip-ons possess an integrated closing block that permits the use of blue filter lenses or reading glasses glazing. In line with the AWearness frame design philosophy, the AW06’s clip-on combines classic and innovative elements. Unlike conventional clip-ons, it conforms to the frame’s contour rather than the lens, imbuing the model with a distinctive shape. The versatile nature of the AW06 as both an everyday companion and a pair of sunglasses is another manifestation of its sustainability features.

Senior Appointment at Rodenstock

Rodenstock Group has appointed Dr. Mani Herold as its new Cfo (Chief Financial Officer) as of April 1, 2023. Dr. Mani Herold has more than 25 years of international work experience in the area of strategic and operational financial management, amongst others at E.ON and Cerdia. Over the past years Dr. Herold has been CFO and Labor Director of the Pfleiderer Group, where he was instrumental in successfully repositioning Pfleiderer in the debt capital markets and in securing the financial performance of the Group during times of highly volatile raw material and energy prices. He holds a Ph. D. and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Munich. Lunor Presents the New M6

Lunor launches its new collection for the Spring/Summer 2023 season called M6. The German brand enriches the new M6 stainless steel collection with acetate temples, creating a comfortable and stylish combination of both materials. For three years now, the famous eyewear brand Lunor has been producing frames in its own factory, Lumag, with great dedication and extremely precise, traditional craftsmanship. The brand’s popular Classic and M5 collections produced at Lumag are now followed by the timeless stainless steel M6 collection.  Thanks to the “Made in Germany” label, the new collection makes its purely regional origins clear. New Acetate Frames from Götti

Swiss eyewear brand Götti presents its new solid and massive acetate frames. For the new season, Götti introduces the Hahns, Hares and Holly models, which are characterized by filigree elements with bold and expressive looks thanks to their attention to detail. The brand has ideally composed the transparent temples of the new models with a refined gold structure. To balance the strong and dominant shapes of the new models, Götti has used an abstract pattern on the inside of the temples, highlighting the exceptional craftsmanship and high quality materials used to create the frames. Simple, delicate and elegant, the new acetate models are characterized by gold hinges and rivets that blend seamlessly with the translucent acetate plate. Police Sponsors for the 5th Time

Police, renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Mercedes-Amg Petronas Formula One Team. As a result of this partnership, the Police logo will be visible on the helmets of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell and the brand’s sunglasses and optical frames will be worn by the drivers and the racing team. Racing drivers, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, also steal the spotlight in the shots taken for the Police Spring/Summer 2023 advertising campaign, in collaboration with the Mercedes-Amg Petronas Formula One Team. Karl Lagerfeld unveiled his sunglasses collection for the Spring/Summer 2023 season. The new collection celebrates the designer’s iconic aesthetic and distinctive creativity. The models in the collection feature silhouettes balanced with innovation and functionality, complemented by elegant details that give them a touch of luxury. In addition, the new models are made from lightweight, plant-based resin, as part of the brand’s commitment to a more sustainable future. The KL6101S model in the collection is available in black, green, blue, sky blue, orange and crystal. Designed to be genderless and ideally self-expressive, the sunglasses feature a square frame with a contrasting color along the front edge. Made from plant-based resin, they are adorned with the Karl Lagerfeld logo and brand identity on the side stems. Ferragamo presents its new Spring/Summer 2023 collection inspired by the brand’s vision of timeless elegance. Distinguished by their style and poise, the uniquely expressive models are designed in unexpected ways as a tribute to Ferragamo’s superior craftsmanship, characterized by sophisticated embellishments and glossy finishes. The Gancini detail, a timeless emblem of elegance, distinguishes the striking silhouettes for women, while the minimal sunglasses for men are enriched with leather inserts.
