Marcolin and Gant Together Until 2032

Marcolin Group and Gant Eyewear announced the early renewal of their global license agreement for the design, manufacture and worldwide distribution of Gant’s sunglasses and optical frames. Ray-Ban x A$AP Rocky Takes Over Brera

The exclusive pop-up store created through the collaboration between Ray-Ban and A$AP Rocky is welcoming visitors from July 7 to August 31 at Via Fiori Chiari 16 in Milan’s art-filled Brera district. This unique space brings together fashion, music, and design, merging the creative vision of the New York artist with Ray-Ban’s craftsmanship. The store features bespoke frame customization, personalized styling consultations, and specially designed furniture reflecting the visual aesthetic of the collection. The entire atmosphere reflects A$AP Rocky’s bold yet sophisticated style. Visitors can explore reinterpreted iconic Ray-Ban models alongside the A$AP Rocky–designed Puffer collection, characterized by bold lines, oversized shapes, and a vibrant color palette ranging from red to blue, white to yellow, green, and pink. Additionally, the Wayfarer Puffer Diamond model, unveiled for the first time at the Met Gala and not available for sale, is also showcased in the pop-up. Vision Expo Set for Strategic Restructure

Vision Expo, a leading trade event for the optical industry, produced by The Vision Council and RX, announces a strategic evolution that will reshape the future of eyecare and eyewear in the Americas. Beginning March 2026, Vision Expo will unify into a single, annual event, starting in Orlando, FL, and rotating through major US cities. The unified Vision Expo will bring together the entire optical community once a year, beginning with Orlando in 2026, followed by Las Vegas in 2027, and New York in 2028. The 2029 location will be announced at a later date. Vision Expo West in Las Vegas will take place September 17-20, 2025. The move comes in response to extensive feedback from exhibitors, attendees, industry partners, and board members, and positions Vision Expo as the definitive hub for product discovery, education, innovation, and connection. The new Vision Expo format is to deliver an experience that maximizes value, streamlines participation, and reflects the dynamic needs of a changing marketplace while expanding the show’s overall impact. The Vision Council’s Ceo Ashley Mills said: “Vision Expo was created to serve the industry, and this move reflects a strategic investment in its future. By uniting the industry in one powerful annual moment, we create space for greater innovation, stronger partnerships, and long-term growth.”

Tag Heuer unveils its new 2025 sunglasses collection, a bold fusion of performance, precision, and style—anchored in the founding values of the Swiss luxury brand. This launch marks a new chapter with an actor, race-car driver, and loyal brand ambassador since 2014, now the official face of Tag Heuer Eyewear Patrick Dempsey. Created in collaboration with Thélios, this collection reinforces Tag Heuer’s elegance in motion and the relentless pursuit of excellence. The design draws heavily from racing culture—Dempsey’s domain, both on-screen and on legendary circuits like Le Mans and Monaco. In the collection new concept, which is called as Jack Heuer, stands out. A tribute to Jack Heuer’s pioneering spirit and Tag  Heuer’s first entry into Formula 1 in 1971. These aviator-inspired frames echo the 1960s, modernised in ultra-light Japanese titanium, Chromafade lenses, and refined finishes—a perfect balance of vintage elegance and contemporary precision. The Mini Vingt‑Sept consept, on the other hand, is a a technical marvel named after Tag Heuer’s iconic 27° hinge. The model features an elliptical steel hinge and bio-nylon temples, equipped with Specta polarized lenses. Designed for clarity and responsiveness in dynamic settings.

German eyewear producer Flair launches its new collection, which is described as being focused on surfaces, exclusive designs, faceted demo lenses, titanium and the company’s usual Made in Germany high quality. Unveiling the new range of sophisticated, high-quality eyewear, the company highlights the Art Couture frames, known for their individual style and design details. A particular highlight of this collection is the Art Couture model 9137, which demonstrates how subtle a luxury frame can be. Drawing inspiration from fine jewellery, this frame has been pared down to the essentials and refined with attention to detail. The rimless model 9132, which features a floating zirconia stone, has been given a modern lens shape while subtle colouring is the highlight in style 9138. This model embodies understated elegance, offering a design that makes a subtle impression and complements every face. The Art Couture model 9142 makes a statement with its form and colour, featuring hand-coloured accents, dynamic lines, and an elegant look. According to Flair, it is a statement full of character and the logical development of their already successful model 9125.

Global Expansion Announced for Design Award

The Sergio Cereda Eyewear Design Award, presented by the Ross Viva Family Foundation in partnership with the Mido Exhibition, has announced its global expansion for 2026. Now open to the world’s most prestigious eyewear and fashion design schools, the award serves as a premier international platform exclusively dedicated to recognizing the next generation of visionary student designers in the optical space. The Sergio Cereda Award is one of the few global honors created specifically for emerging student designers, offering significant cash prizes, mentorship opportunities, and a live stage at the world’s leading eyewear trade show-Mido. The students under the age of 30 who are currently enrolled in, or have recently graduated from, an accredited design program will be able to apply. The 2026 theme has been announced as: “Eyewear in its pure form: Balance between proportions and harmony, innovation and breaking point.” The Grand Prize has been set at $10,000, and winners will be honored live at Mido 2026, which will take place from January 31 to February 2. The award made its live debut at Mido 2025, where Tea Rocco, a student at Laba School of Design in Italy, was named the first winner.
