New Appointment to Fielmann Management Board

The Fielmann Group has announced that its supervisory board has appointed Peter Lothes as a member of the company’s management board, effective March 1, 2025. Lothes, who joined Fielmann as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2023, and has led the company’s manufacturing and logistics functions worldwide since then, will continue in this role under his new capacity, according to the announcement. As the COO of the Fielmann Group, Lothes is responsible for an international organization operating nine manufacturing facilities across three continents, according to the company. He is supported by more than 1,400 colleagues working in Germany, China, Czechia, Poland, Spain and the U.S. He is the first American named to the Fielmann Group’s management board, as the company confirms what it said is its commitment to empower U.S. eyewear customers. Peter Lothes has more than 30 years of industry experience, including several executive management positions as well as global businesses. As a graduate of Ashland University, he joined his family’s optical business in Ohio as vice president of manufacturing in 1992.
