Eco Eyewear is Now Carbon Negative

Eco Eyewear, one of the eco-friendly eyewear brands, has reached a milestone in carbon negativity with 3.3 million trees planted so far. Unlike being carbon neutral, Eco Eyewear, which compensates CO2 emissions at a one-to-one ratio, announced that it is carbon negative. Eco Eyewear mentioned that it has cleaned a total of 154 million kilograms of carbon dioxide with the trees it has planted so far. Alessandro Lanaro, Ceo of Modo Group, said, “I am extremely excited to add this very fundamental element of carbon negativity to our already sustainable Eco brand. By becoming carbon negative, we have become a brand that gives back more than it takes in. It will continue to be a very important experience for our customers and end consumers, knowing that they will contribute positively to the environment by purchasing our products.” Tim McLellan, Ceo of Trees for the Future, an organization that has partnered with Eco Eyewear for 15 years, said, “Together with Eco, we have made an incredible impact by planting 3.316,270 trees in Forest Gardens in Cameroon and Senegal. This tree planting resulted in the sequestration of 154.629 metric tons of CO2, as confirmed by a study conducted by the University of Michigan Department of Forestry.”

Gemini Partners Boulon

Gemini, an eyewear brand based in the Campania Region of Southern Italy, presents a new collection that blends eyewear and jewelry in collaboration with Boulon, an Italian brand that offers innovative concepts in jewelry. Ciro Lago, Founder of Gemini Eyewear and Ernesto Gravante, Designer “We had already started to explore the possible interaction between the worlds of eyewear and accessories with the Naples collection, but the first time we met the world of jewelry was through our Prochyta, a model with jewels that can be attached and detached on the temples. We then wanted to give customers the chance not only to wear these jewels on the glasses, but also to wear them separately. The Boulon brand has been accompanying our idea of harmonizing the jewelry elements and thus creating a more wearable product. We are very pleased with this collaboration.” “Gemini’s offer was very attractive because we share the same production and planning values and create customized products. Thanks to this project, we have created a concept that serves the larger system where every piece of both types of accessories interacts,” added Mimmo Rocco, Boulon Designer.
