Kador Expands Premium Collection

Kador has expanded its Premium collection for men with the addition of two new optical frames. Through the Premium collection, the brand appeals to a wide range of consumers, from those who prefer understated and minimalist designs to those seeking more distinctive styles. One of the defining details of the collection is the use of star shaped functional rivets on both the front and temples. Beyond their technical purpose, these elements also serve as decorative features that strengthen the character of the frames. The manual application of the rivets reflects the craftsmanship involved throughout the production process. Photo engraved logos inside the temples and carefully crafted metal core structures further enhance the refined appearance of the models. Subtle beveling on the front adds visual depth while helping maintain a lightweight construction. The acetates used throughout the collection are produced from high quality cotton based materials. By combining traditional craftsmanship with advanced manufacturing technologies, Kador brings together heritage and innovation. The newly introduced Premium 99 features a soft panto shape with a classic appearance, while Premium 66 stands out with its contemporary rectangular eye shape. Both optical models are also available in sunglass versions.

Andy Wolf x Erwin Wurm Collaboration

Andy Wolf is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the launch of a collaboration with Austrian contemporary artist Erwin Wurm. The design combines international artistic relevance with Styrian roots: while Erwin Wurm is one of the best-known contemporary artists internationally, Andy Wolf stands for eyewear craftsmanship. Limited to 1,000 pairs, the sunglasses from the Andy Wolf x Erwin Wurm collaboration blend precise, traditional eyewear craftsmanship with radical artistic vision to create an object that is inspired by the artist’s work. With their 10mm thick front and 6mm temples, the Oh No sunglasses are a striking statement that can only be produced with a special 3D tool. The letters on the temples symbolize Erwin Wurm’s famous Flat Sculptures, wrapping around the temples for a 3D experience from all angles. The colour scheme is a direct reference to the artist’s work: the temple material transitions from a classic transparent dark grey to a vibrant lime green. In addition to the main colour, there will be five other strictly limited—and secret—colourways. These variants will be released as “Collector’s Pieces” and packaged in blind boxes, so that the colour is only revealed when the box is opened. The glasses come with elaborate packaging, which includes among others a display board, certificate of authenticity, and a poster.
