Silhouette Opens a Store in Vienna

To mark its 60th anniversary, Austrian eyewear company Silhouette has opened its first brand experience store in Vienna. The new House of Silhouette is located inside Palais Herberstein, a neo-baroque Gründerzeit building just steps away from the Hofburg, reinforcing the strategic relevance of the location. Spread across two floors, the space introduces a new model of interaction between brand, product, and audience. The ground floor is designed as a dynamic and flexible area where traditional retail gives way to cultural and social experiences. A full-height curved LED wall provides an ever-changing visual backdrop, while a monumental staircase turns the path to the upper floor into a narrative journey. Upstairs, the company’s three brands – Silhouette, Neubau Eyewear, and Evil Eye – are presented in individual spaces, each defined by materials and shapes that reflect the identity of the brand. The interior is structured with curved glass and stainless-steel walls, evoking transparency, precision, and the lightness typical of the collections. A dedicated Eye Test Space offers customers the chance to undergo advanced optical testing to personalize lenses based on individual needs.

Key Executive Appointment at Kering

The Kering Board of Directors, chaired by François-Henri Pinault, has approved the appointment of Luca de Meo as Ceo of the Group, as recommended by the Appointments and Governance Committee. This decision, initiated by François-Henri Pinault, marks a significant step in Kering’s governance evolution and strengthens the Group’s leadership as it enters a new phase of its development. As part of a renewed governance structure, the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors, held by François-Henri Pinault, will be separated from that of Chief Executive Officer. This governance structure aligns with best practices for major listed companies. These changes will take effect upon the decision of the Board of Directors, which will be held following the Shareholder Meeting to be called for September 9, 2025. The Shareholder Meeting will notably be asked to appoint Luca de Meo as a Director and to approve the compensation policy corresponding to this new organization. Subject to these approvals, Luca de Meo will take office on September 15, 2025.

The brand’s new limited-edition model, the Iconic Targa P’8954, is a sculptural pair of sunglasses created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911 Targa. This special design pays homage to Porsche’s legacy by reinterpreting the iconic roll-bar aesthetic with modern craftsmanship. When it was introduced in 1965, the 911 Targa stood out not only for its smart roll-bar construction—addressing the safety concerns of the time—but also for ushering in a new era of open-top sports cars. Today, that spirit of innovation is reborn in every detail of the Iconic Targa P’8954. Crafted entirely from Japanese titanium, the frame combines durability, lightness, and elegance. The visor-style lens is mounted with hexagonal screws, a nod to the removable rear window system of the original Targa. Every line of the design reflects Porsche Design’s core philosophy: form follows function. The cut-outs on the titanium body reduce weight while paying tribute to the aerodynamic purity of the Targa.
