Theo Eyewear

Theo Eyewear

‘Loves You’

Inspired by the liquid elements in the periodic table, Theo once again demonstrates its mastery of looking at design from an innovative perspective with its latest collection.

Theo Eyewear, which believes that design finds its true identity when it goes beyond functionality, has established its unique line as an independent eyewear brand since the late 1980s. Founded in the city of Antwerp by Wim Somers, who placed the concept of love at the center of his life and profession, the brand brought an innovative breath to the optical world with artistic approaches. Theo’s unchanging aim since its inception has been to bring happiness to people’s lives by designing eyewear that go beyond the lines to express the individuality of the wearer. For nearly 40 years, the brand has been combining innovative production technologies, premium materials and an emotional approach focused on love in all of its eyewear collections.

Theo’s bold attitude towards color and form has transformed it from a mere accessory manufacturer into a creator of design language. Originality is at the heart of Theo’s founding philosophy. Treating eyewear not only as a means of vision but also as an expression of identity, the brand redefines boundaries in its collections. Theo’s lines represent an aesthetic that transcends time and promotes freedom of personal expression. The collections question conventional forms, while the freedom of the color palette makes eyewear far from the ordinary. The brand’s design philosophy positions eyewear not only as an object but also as a storyteller. For instance, the Potatoes collection of petite and versatile acetate frames for wearers with shorter pupillary distances who are looking for narrower frames includes frames with names such as Carrot 50, Spinach 47 and Broccoli 40; this is just one example of how Theo carefully finds ways to reflect and endear its unique, humorous side and love of eyewear design to its wearers.

‘Theo Loves You’
Today we see the slogan ‘Theo Loves You’ of the independent Belgian design brand on countless platforms: on their products, packaging, websites, shop windows and so on. However few people know that this simple yet emotional slogan was born in the early nineties, under the direction of Wim Somers, Theo brand wrote it as a small note on the order forms sent to optical shops to place their orders. It will come as no surprise to you that Theo has taken this bond of love with its customers from its earliest years, through its transformation into a global independent brand, to the present day, and that the stores that work with the brand also love Theo.

Its Newest: Liquid Elements
Theo’s first collection for 2025, Liquid Elements, takes its name from the liquid elements in the periodic table. Each model in the collection draws attention with its fluid forms and balanced lines. Designed to adapt to different face shapes, these frames combine comfortable wear with aesthetic refinement. With its fluid transitions and soft curves, the Liquid Elements collection, which makes you feel the closeness of the design to nature, also reveals the brand’s mastery in the use of materials. As liquid elements are harmonious and variable by nature, the eyewear models in this collection offer a versatile use. Offering a new perspective in eyewear design, the Liquid Elements collection also stands out with the craftsmanship in the details. The materials used in the frames are selected in accordance with high quality standards and every stage of the production process is meticulously managed. The subtle curves of the eyewear temple and the structure that adapts to facial contours make a difference not only in terms of aesthetics but also in terms of comfort. The brand’s principle of balance and harmony in each of its designs is also evident in this collection. Color options range from bold tones to sophisticated transitions. With each collection, Theo pushes the boundaries and opens new paths in the world of optics. Liquid Elements, as the most current reflection of this quest, stands at the point where original design and technical mastery meet. The models named Gallium (Ga), Bromine (Br), Rubidium (Rb), Cesium (Cs), Mercury (Hg) and Francium (Fr), which change the classical frame perception, aim to bring a new dimension to eyewear. Carrying the brand’s Dna, the Liquid Elements collection brings an innovative approach not only to eyewear design but also to the way users express themselves. Theo’s creative vision is evident in the new collection as it is in every collection. Inspired by liquid elements, the first Theo eyewear of 2025 brings elegance and dynamism together, breathing new life into the world of optics.

With over 40 years of experience in product design, Richard Rembs develops a deep understanding of the market and style that is evident in every Masao design. Masao Eyewear offers the wearer a very special experience by balancing versatile aesthetics and practical values. This approach allows the brand to maintain a sense of style that is in tune with the spirit of the times, yet remains unique in its own way. Inspired by the glamorous Lucent jewelry collection, Swarovski’s innovative joining in the new designs is reminiscent of the legendary Lucent crystal jewelry finishes. New transparent acetate frames and clear Lucent crystals are presented for the first time in these designs. The bright and cheerful styles in this family come in a choice of colors designed for those with a bold and playful spirit. Swarovski turns heads with modern square acetate framed sunglasses whose temples are complemented by striking crystals in vibrant colors. Swarovski effortlessly enhances all styles and brings them together flawlessly.

Imber’s Art

Never one to skimp on the glamor, Swarovski, in its new designs inspired by the Imber collection, arranges dazzling round crystals with detailed and artistic craftsmanship within bulging metal bezel inserts, just like the Imber accessories. The powerful acetate-framed sunglasses in this family are embellished with bold round crystals. A center of attention, these acetate sunglasses instantly captivate everyone with their sparkle. These cushion-shaped designs are both boldly chic and striking, thanks to the large crystals complemented by metal on the temples. The round acetate optical model is adorned with four crystals adorning each temple, radiating a unique Swarovski sparkle. Swarovski presents another unique eyewear design inspired by the Imber family and the sea. With the vibrant blue-green hues of an ocean sparkling under the sun and a structure reminiscent of sea goggles, this modern and natural eyewear features a total of 130 crystals that intensify the amount of light falling on the lenses, frame and temples. Finished with a removable strap, the black colorway offers an ocean-inspired look that is as stylish as it is sporty. These playful sunglasses offer a sporty fusion of function and fashion with a vibrant, sea-inspired design that reflects light. The design’s organic shape, reminiscent of sea goggles, offers unparalleled eye protection and a stylish interpretation, while shimmering crystals evoke the dizzying sparkle of the ocean.

Matrix’s Look

Inspired by the light-reflecting properties of pavé crystal installations, the new eyewear from the Matrix collection seamlessly combines legendary jewelry designs with contemporary designs, complemented by both intricate and simpler details. The innovative designs are presented in a bold, modern style with a semi-curved shape that seems to float in mid-air, framed by a metal bar embellished with continuous micro pavé crystals and extending downward from the temple ends. In the shape of a cat’s eye, the new sleek metal sunglasses offer an accessory that can be worn with any outfit. Finished with an array of Swarovski crystals running seamlessly along the temples and bridge, they effortlessly command attention and create a unique sparkle. Blending exceptional fashion and crystal craftsmanship, Swarovski adds sparkle to any look with this design. The modern sunglasses have a minimalist aesthetic with half-rim ring lenses. The embellished top bar and Swarovski crystal-encrusted temples that connect to the frame from above keep this modern half-rimmed design in place. Designed with meticulous attention to detail and featuring large oval lenses that are seamlessly joined by a metal bridge, the sunglasses offer a modern and stylish look. The metal temples are connected to the frame from above with crystallized pavé inserts, offering that flawless sparkle we know from Swarovski jewellery.

Swan Touch

Shimmering beyond traditional boundaries and embracing the extraordinary, the new eyewear, inspired by Swarovski’s iconic Swan, not only offers the wearer style with its striking structures, but also proudly represents the brand’s timeless heritage. The designs are complemented by a dazzling pavé crystal setting that adorns the two sides of the unique mask-shaped lenses and elegantly extends along the temples, reaching all the way to the tips. The legendary Swarovski swan, the emblem of crystal love that embodies joyful splendor and perpetual motion, adds exclusivity to this contemporary mask-shaped sunglass design. Beautifully embellished with more than three hundred crystals, these sunglasses will undoubtedly turn heads.

Larma

Eyewear as Jewellery

Larma Eyewear, a fashion eyewear brand dedicated to creating sunglasses with an avant-garde look using recycled materials, is only three years old!

Larma is a fashion eyewear brand committed to creating sunglasses with an edgy look using second choice materials. The frames are carefully handmade in France and Italy, combining cutting-edge craftsmanship with avant-garde design. Guided by their desire to blend design, craftsmanship, and eco-responsibility, Swiss creative duo Ania Marincek and Julia La Mendola founded Larma in 2021. The designers are based between Paris and Geneva. Their journey spans various fields such as fashion design, jewelry, product and accessories design, as well as fashion and luxury management. For their first commercial collection, the studio created five eyewear models with bold, colourful designs, each available in three colours. Imagining their eyewear as jewellery, the designers created this collection with colourful, beaded acetates made from industrial waste. Combining texture, bright colours and expressive designs, every step of the design process is thought through with the aim of offering responsibly made unisex frames.

Larma is the result of research and dialogue around fashion, responsible design and regenerative production. The brand’s objective is to be part of a fashion that distances itself from the established codes of fast fashion and mass production cycles by offering a high-end accessories and eyewear brand with a responsible approach. Their design team is committed to produce the most ethically possible while ensuring high quality products at fair prices. Being at an early stage of their journey, making fully sustainable products constitutes a real challenge. However, in order to reduce waste and carbon footprint, they are committed to continuously look for innovative solutions to improve their impact and their eco-responsibility guidelines are circularity, exclusivitiy, proximity, quality and transparency.

When it comes to circularity, Larma frames are exclusively made of deadstock or recycled acetates from the eyewear industry. This process allows to reduce waste and re-purpose it into new products. The long-term objective is to produce exclusively with recycled materials. Exclusivity is also guideline for Larma. The amount of same-colour acetate is variable with deadstocks and offcuts. Therefore the brand can only produce a limited amount of each, which is why they offer exclusive models and limited series. Another way to avoid overproduction. The other guideline is proximity. Larma Studio makes it a point of honour to remain the most local possible in their supply and production chain. Working with companies within a small radius allows them to collaborate with the local traditional craftsmanship and generate low carbon dioxide emissions. All their suppliers and manufacturers are based in Europe; Their packaging and sunglasses are made in Northern Italy while their acetate supplier is based in France.

It is essential for Larma to work with high-quality materials and craftsmanship in order to offer long-lasting products. Accordingly, they exclusively work with the best quality materials as well as suppliers and manufacturers known for their expertise. Latest guideline is transparency and Larma are convinced it is possible to be part of the fashion industry while contributing to building an eco-positive approach to production and consumption.

They don’t claim to be fully sustainable yet but believe honesty and communication with their customers about their journey is key. The brand hopes it can encourage people to seek ethical choices when they consume.

The First Series of Larma / Genesis

For Larma’s first collection Genesis, the Geneva-based studio created five models of bold and colorful sunglasses, available in three colors each. Imagining eyewear as jewellery, the designers created this collection with pearled and colorful acetates made out of the eyewear industry waste. Combining texture, bright colors, and bold designs, every detail is thought to offer high-end genderless shades manufactured responsibly.

Design, Eco-responsibility, Craftmanship / Bloom

Guided by their desire to fuse design, craftsmanship and eco-responsibility, Swiss creative duo Ania Marincek and Julia La Mendola presents their brand new new eyewear collection Bloom by Larma Eyewear. This series of four shape variations maintains the elegant spirit of their first collection Genesis while adding a sporty touch and assertive volumes with elegance. The designers have taken on the challenge of creating sunglasses with a focus on three core values. First value is design. They prioritize bold, colorful, and sophisticated designs for their eyewear, allowing customers to express their individuality through unique styles. On the other hand Larma gives importance to eco- responsibility. Larma is committed to environmental respect by actively recycling acetate waste and materials from dormant stocks. By doing so, they avoid the consumption of first-choice materials, reducing their impact. Finally, Larma designs exclusive collections produced in limited series. This approach creates a sense of rarity and uniqueness, appealing to consumers looking for one-of-a-kind eyewear. By manufacturing their eyewear in France and Italy, Larma not only ensures top-of-the-range quality but also honors and supports local craftsmanship.
