Modo announced its acquisition of Lowercase, a Brooklyn, New York-based independent eyewear manufacturer. Gerard Masci founded Lowercase in 2016 on the commitment of quality craftsmanship in bold, retro designs. Modo said it will continue to bring the quality and design that Lowercase is known for while expanding the collection through Modo’s manufacturing prowess, according to an announcement from the company. Financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed. Gerard Masci said, “I am excited that Lowercase will remain rooted in its approach to making frames in New York City.
