Bausch + Lomb Revenues Increase

Bausch + Lomb announced its second quarter 2024 financial results. Total reported revenue was $1.216 billion for the second quarter, as compared with $1.035 billion in the second quarter of 2023, an increase of $181 million, or 17 percent. Excluding the unfavorable impact of foreign exchange of $27 million, the company reported that revenue increased by approximately 20 percent on a constant currency basis compared with the second quarter of 2023. Bausch + Lomb also raised its 2024 full-year revenue guidance from a range of $4.6 billion to $4.7 billion to $4.7 billion to $4.8 billion.

Strong Growth at Alcon

Alcon has announced its financial results for the three- and six-month periods ending June 30, 2024. For the second quarter of 2024, sales were reported at $2.5 billion, an increase of 3 percent on a reported basis and 6 percent on a constant currency basis, as compared with the same quarter of the previous year. Sales for the first half of 2024 were $4.9 billion, an increase of 4 percent on a reported basis and 7 percent on a constant currency basis, compared with the first half of 2023, the announcement said.
