Nautica Smart Eyewear on the Market

Smart eyewear developer Innovative Eyewear and Authentic Brands Group are collaborating to launch a smart eyewear collection under the Nautica brand. The Nautica smart eyewear line will launch from this month with eight sunglass styles, two of which will feature blue light blocking lenses for indoor use. In particular, the collection features Nautica’s first ‘Global Fit’ frame, designed to accommodate consumers with a low nose bridge and facilitate expansion into additional zones.

Neubau Eyewear launches the first rimless eyewear collection entitled Sphere and explores the visual concept of perspectives. The rimless glasses play in particular with the idea of straight lines and linearity, which are reflected in the abstract design. Future Genesis Gains Interest

Oakley undertakes a new project that plunges into the brand’s origins, and with the theme of a better tomorrow: the platform Future Genesis. Starting from the protagonist of a 1992 video, Max Fearlight, two short films have been created that take viewers back to the world created for the original movie. To show the link between past and future, the short films concentrate on the characters of a father and daughter. These teasers are just the first in a series of videos that Oakley will publish in the next few years to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

As part of a new eyewear release for 2023-2024 Fall/Winter, the new Motion collection by Porsche Design is described as a unique and extraordinary manifesto of the Porsche Design brand philosophy which is characterized by perfectly combining the form and function of a design object. The supervisory board of Carl Zeiss AG has appointed Stefan Müller the new chief financial officer (Cfo) of Carl Zeiss AG, effective Jan. 1, 2024. Müller is currently Cfo of Paul Hartmann AG in Heidenheim, Germany. Previously, he worked at Zeiss for around 17 years in different positions, most recently as Cfo and member of the management board of the Zeiss Industrial Quality & Research segment.

Oakley and Fortnite Eyewear Collaboration

Oakley revealed the return of its standout Muzm Mars X-Metal Leather frames, which were popularized by figures like Michael Jordan and Dennis Rodman. Now on the heels of that standout release from the brand, Oakley has now revealed its new partnership with Fortnite. With the new partnership, Oakley deepens its foray into gaming, which first kicked off in 2020. The new collaboration sees two eyewear designs. Luxury eyewear group Kering Eyewear has unveiled travel retail-exclusive Monogram frames from Saint Laurent. The Monogram frame is characterised by an oval front and drop-shaped temples with the YSL logo. The style features a shiny black frame and grey polarised lenses. Kering Eyewear Head of Global Travel Retail Emanuele Lasagna said: “In the sunglasses category, we were the first in the industry to introduce such strong travel retail-exclusive campaigns and projects.
