Italia Independent introduces Crazy Layers, a bold and expressive new collection featuring two sunglasses models: Chic and Colto, both reflecting the brand’s colorful and statement-driven Dna. Creative Director Lapo Elkann, in collaboration with Modo’s design team, draws inspiration for Crazy Layers from iconic art movements and techniques. Each product family reflects a unique artistic influence, united by a theme of returning to nature and the human essence. The Crazy Layers collection is inspired by mathematical principles and the groundbreaking performance Superposition by visual artist Ryoji Ikeda. Through layered forms and colors, the collection creates unexpected depth and dimension. Overlapping frame and lens elements shift shapes and thicknesses in surprising ways. The feminine Chic model comes in a soft pastel palette—timeless black, green turquoise, mauve gradient, and blue-pink gradient. Its bold lenses match the dramatic silhouette of the frames. The unisex Colto model stands out with dynamic color combinations like black, navy, caramel, and green turquoise. Layered elements in both color and form make Colto a truly unique statement piece.
