Marchon Eyewear has continued its commitment to producing eyewear from recycled and bio-based materials. In 2022, Marchon produced a quarter of its frames from recycled and bio-based materials—in 2023, the company is on track to hit 35 percent. President Thomas Burkhardt has set a goal of making at least 50 percent of frames with these materials by 2025. Most recently, Marchon introduced recycled stainless steel into its repertoire, starting with a collection from Joe by Joseph Abboud under Altair. The material was launched in the brand’s 2023 Fall/Winter collection, and marked Marchon’s first foray into using recycled stainless steel—a material the company plans to continue using moving forward, and expand across other brands. Gabriele Bonapersona, Chief Brand Officer, Marchon Eyewear said: “We are thrilled to give customers even more sustainable options when choosing a new pair of frames.
