Long associated with masculine design, metal is reimagined by the French heritage eyewear house through two distinct yet complementary collections: Thaïs, for women, and Tonsberg, for men. Both embody Morel’s unrivaled expertise in titanium craftsmanship. Thaïs introduces a fresh perspective on feminine eyewear. The titanium frame, both delicate and assertive, plays with light and shadow through a sharply sculpted bevel. The interplay of depth and reflection lends the frame a striking sense of dimension – a rare feat in metal design, where surfaces are often flat. A single line of color runs along the titanium’s edge, highlighting its contours with confident subtlety. The temples begin solid and structured, before refining into an airy wire detail – a silhouette that recalls the volume of acetate while retaining titanium’s feather-light precision. On the other hand, Tonsberg channels titanium’s strength into a distinctly masculine form.
