Kering Meets Art
Kering Eyewear has added a new artistic production to its two-year collaboration project “Kering Eyewear Through Their Eyes”, launched in June 2022 as a creative platform for international talent. Following the first edition with Rome-based artist Camilla Falsini, the project continues with the contribution of Greg Guillemin, mostly known for his signature works that blend pop culture elements and everyday life. In his Paris studio, Grégoire Guillemin plays with references ranging from Marvel to Roy Lichtenstein, comic books to Japanese culture, and stands out for his sense of composition and framing, as well as the graphic and aesthetic quality of his work. The French artist, whose illustrations and paintings have been exhibited in influential galleries around the world, drew inspiration from his acclaimed series The Secret Life of Heroes to design the composition featuring a group of fantastical characters who embody the vision and values of Kering Eyewear. The bright colors and illustrations of comic book heroes highlight the dynamic transformation and evolution of Kering Eyewear. “Through this project, we are going one step further by approaching the art world to experimentally and metaphorically communicate the company’s aesthetic codes and product collections,” said Roberto Vedovotto, President and Ceo of Kering Eyewear.
