Face a Face has expanded its collection inspired by the Memphis art movement with four new models. The Memphis movement, which argues that design begins where rational processes end and magical processes begin, has led Face a Face to focus on doing the unprecedented and unthinkable in its new models. Handmade in France and Italy, the glasses open the doors to a sparkling world with their shapes and colors. For this new collection, Face a Face designers continue their exploration of the Italian Memphis art movement through a kinetic prism. Each of the models seems to move to better reveal the richness of their shapes. From the kaleidoscopic effect of Kalëdo dizziness to their visibly articulated frames and moving hinges, the brand’s four new models catch the eye. The nod to the Memphis movement is diffused through a color-blocking palette and expressed in ultra-graphic materials contrasted with solid colors. In this way, the models bring to life their playful appearance, conceived as a visual interaction and dialog.
