Parisian luxury eyewear brand, Nathalie Blanc, has launched a new collection of sunglasses that pays homage to the great French poet Charles Baudelaire. The collection is inspired by Baudelaire’s poetry, which often explored themes of darkness, beauty, and the complexities of the human experience. The brand’s philosophy of timeless elegance and sophistication is reflected in the sleek, modern designs of the sunglasses, which feature classic black and bold colors. The names of the frames – Marc, Edouard, Aristide, and Vincent – evoke the themes and moods of Baudelaire’s poetry, with descriptions such as elegance, lightness, and refinement. The Marc frame is a standout, with its elegant anthracite color and clean lines. The Edouard features reflective lenses and a distinctive browline, while the Aristide is lightweight and harmonious in design. Here Comes Elton John

Famous singer Elton John is launching his eponymous eyewear brand globally. As part of the launch, the singer has announced a series of pop-up stores across Europe. The famous pop icon is also introducing his new eyewear line to the global market, where he helped design 75 different styles, many of which bear the names of his songs. “I learned a long time ago that my style is what gives me confidence and I don’t feel like myself without my eyewear. I’ve dreamed of creating a stylish eyewear collection for as long as I can remember, so I’m thrilled to announce the global launch of Elton John Eyewear. The new collection is for anyone who wants to stay authentic in a world that constantly forces you to be someone else,” John said in a statement. John has partnered with luxury shopping destination The Bicester Collection to offer the eyewear range, as well as clothing and other products, in pop-up stores across Europe. Ten percent of the proceeds from frames sold through The Bicester Collection will be donated to the Elton John Aids Foundation.

Polo Pique by Tommy Hilfiger

Tommy Hilfiger celebrated its eyewear collection for Spring/Summer 2023, Polo Pique, at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. Known for engaging with cultural innovators, the brand invited athletes and artists such as legendary soccer player Sergio Ramos, DJ group Bon Entendeur, 6Knows, Ugo Ciulla’s Dance Crew and professional skateboarders Samuel Partaix, Robin Bolian and Lofti Lamaali to the contemporary art center. The advertising campaign for the Polo Pique collection features Sergio Ramos, Snowboard Halfpipe World Champion Scotty James and Nick Pescetto. Designed and produced by Safilo Group with sports inspiration, the collection features design accents including the brand’s signature red, white and blue flag. The new high-contrast Tech lenses used in the models reflect the brand’s classic American cool look, while guaranteeing wearers protection from the sun’s rays.

Andy Wolf x Lala Berlin Released

Austrian eyewear brand Andy Wolf collaborates with fashion label Lala Berlin to launch a joint capsule collection. The collection includes two limited edition sunglasses in two colors each, as well as an exclusive silk scarf. The Andy Wolf x Lala Berlin capsule collection is inspired not only by Berlin but also by the cultural diversity of the whole world. Liv is a feminine, geometric cat-eye frame with an inner facet deliberately placed on the edge of its lens. The model debuts with an earthy gray green matched with dark brown lenses and berry color combinations with burgundy lenses. The unisex Keith is a rectangular aviator interpretation with a striking bridge and a protruding facet on the edge of its lens. Keith is presented in a warm combination of kiwi acetate with plum gradient lenses and a cool combination of ice blue and beige gradient with light gray lenses. Patti, a soft and airy triangular scarf made of pure, high quality silk with a fresh pattern in pastel colors, is available in the Andy Wolf x Lala Berlin joint collection. Andy Wolf has made a new addition to the AWearness family, AW06, made from bioacetate, available in two colorways with a panto form. The new AW06 style features three-dimensional and ergonomic facets, and each component has been meticulously crafted to ensure a timeless quality. The AW06 model includes a clip-on accessory that features high-quality Zeiss sun lenses capable of providing full protection against UVA and UVB rays. These clip-ons are handcrafted at their facility located in France. Additionally, the clip-ons possess an integrated closing block that permits the use of blue filter lenses or reading glasses glazing. In line with the AWearness frame design philosophy, the AW06’s clip-on combines classic and innovative elements. Unlike conventional clip-ons, it conforms to the frame’s contour rather than the lens, imbuing the model with a distinctive shape.
