Hoet Presents U7 and U8

Belgium-based design agency and eyewear brand Hoet Couture is launching two new eyewear models U7 and U8, combining polyamide and titanium materials. Hoet Couture’s new models U7 and U8 add to its existing hybrid models. Following the growing Cabrio collection in polyamide and the exclusive Hoet Couture collection in titanium, the Belgian brand is now attracting attention with new 3D printed models that blend both materials. For the latest hybrid Hoet Couture models U7 and U8, the brand has combined polyamide with a titanium piece, available for the first time in a polished version. Combining local high-tech production and handcraftsmanship, the new models U7 and U8 are available in combinations of two nose sizes and three lens sizes. Kreuzbergkinder Says Suspirium

Germany-based Kreuzbergkinder has created a brand new collection called Suspirium, inspired by Berlin’s hovering esoteric history and all things witchy. The new Kreuzbergkinder collection adapts the unique charm of the witches that appear in fairy tales, fantasy novels and movies, and features models with striking elements. The K-shaped slot carved out the temples of some of the frames in the collection allows the wearer to adorn the eyewear with a chain for a more comfortable and stylish addition. Ioana A. Serbanescu, the German brand’s Italian-born designer, is heavily inspired by Dario Argento’s cult classic Suspiria in her Suspirium collection. First filmed in 1977 and remade in 2018, the movie tells the story of a coven of witches hiding under the guise of a dance school in Berlin. Kreuzbergkinder is now the center of attention by shooting the ad campaign for its new eyewear collection Suspirium at the same location in Berlin where the 2018 version of the cult movie was filmed.

EssiLux and Bulgari Say Goodbye

Luxottica and Bulgari are ending their partnership of more than two decades. EssilorLuxottica and Bulgari, a brand of the LVMH Group, announced in a joint statement that their license agreement for the design, production and worldwide distribution of Bulgari eyewear collections will expire on December 31, 2023 and will not be renewed. “We have enjoyed a fruitful and mutually rewarding collaboration for more than two decades,” said both companies. EssilorLuxottica and Bulgari will continue to work together until the end of the year as per their agreement. Bulgari also announced that it will declare its new partner in the near future.
