Austrian eyewear brand Robert La Roche celebrates its 50th anniversary with the Essentials collection, which pays homage to its history and underlines its unique character.

With roots in the seventies, Austrian brand Robert La Roche represents designer eyewear at the intersection of art and fashion. Founded by the iconic designer of the same name, the independent label became a darling of celebrities and VIPs practically overnight. Robert La Roche was established in 1973 in one of the world’s hotbeds for art and style: Vienna, Austria. Now led creatively by Kamilia Kusz, the brand is honoring its origins by resurrecting iconic models from the 1980s and 1990s. These daring acetate frames – ranging from round and oversized to narrow and rectangular – arrive in four captivating color schemes: black, off-white, red, and green. These colors accentuate the signature shapes, reintroducing them for the upcoming era. Robert La Roche’s fresh Essentials line, exclusive for 50th years, has undergone a significant transformation under Kusz’s meticulous guidance. This classic assortment of extraordinarily lightweight sunglasses and optical frames, inspired by bestsellers from recent years, possesses an inherent Italian essence with gentle natural tones and understated shades. The diverse array of shapes, from rounded to rectangular
