Independent Italian eyewear brand Vanni and Italian premium textile label Oscalito have announced a new collaborative sunglass collection. At the center of the collection is the shared material philosophy of the two brands. While Oscalito uses high quality cotton yarns throughout its knitwear collections, Vanni transforms the same fiber into cellulose acetate for its eyewear designs. Through this approach, the worlds of textiles and eyewear come together around a shared production culture. The Vanni x Oscalito collection consists of three sunglass models named Dora, Aurora and Valentine. Crafted from certified cellulose acetate, the styles feature tones including black, white, blue, moss green and warm Havana shades. The collection also incorporates Vanni’s signature Dama, Pixel and Blade acetate applications. Dora stands out with its wide and enveloping silhouette, while Valentine introduces a contemporary rectangular shape. Aurora, meanwhile, draws attention as the collection’s ultra feminine cat-eye design. Special eyewear pouches created for the collaboration additionally feature repurposed peacock toned silk satin fabrics from Oscalito.
