Joachim Froment to Lead Silmo d’Or 2026 Jury
Silmo Paris has announced the appointment of Joachim Froment as Jury President of the Silmo d’Or 2026 awards. The Brussels based designer and creative director will lead this year’s evaluation process for the prestigious awards program. A graduate of the Royal College of Art in London, Froment is known for bringing together industrial design, technology, and user experience in his work. He began his career in Copenhagen and later became a co founder of the design and technology studio Futurewave. The studio has collaborated on a variety of projects with international brands including Renault, LVMH, and Richemont. According to Silmo Paris, Froment’s design philosophy is rooted in a holistic approach that views products not as standalone objects but as part of broader systems. His work spans a wide range of categories, from furniture and lighting to mobility and consumer electronics. Throughout his career, Froment has received several international distinctions, including iF Design Award, Good Design Award, and Core77 Award. He is widely recognized for his cross disciplinary perspective on design. The Silmo d’Or 2026 awards will be presented during Silmo Paris, taking place from September 25 to 28.
